We plan on starting the first hour each session at 5:00 pm with a quick demo of a project that you can sew along with guidance from a mentor. A supply list or kits (at a minimal cost) will be offered depending on the project.
This week's demo: Microwave Bowls
Microwaveable bowl holders go in the microwave with bowls in them, so you can safely remove a hot dish without having to maneuver a potholder around an hot bowl.
Materials: Must be 100% woven cotton
- Cotton batting – We can provide batting for a small fee
- Cotton fabric – ½ yard same fabric or 2 coordinating fabrics
- Cotton thread – we have thread at the Makery
The sewing lab is available for you to work on your own projects as well, and the mentors look forward to assisting you.
