A gentle way to practice yoga using a chair, this class will translate traditional yoga practice to a language most bodies will appreciate and understand. We will remain seated for most of the class, but will have the option to get up and use the chair as a prop for some other poses if the student is able and comfortable doing so.
When repeated regularly, the practice has many physical and mental benefits: strength, balance and stability, range of motion, flexibility, increased circulation, conscious relaxation, as well as nervous system resilience. Please find a chair with no arms: not too soft, not too hard; Think: Goldilocks. A folding or kitchen chair should work fine.
